This is your 2020-2021 Vice President, Vedrik Xiong looking forward to an exciting year of getting to know each one of you and exploring the endless opportunities the world has in store for us. I hope to create a unique learning environment for our members through open networks and the resources made available by UCI. These networks are crucial to the growth of our careers, so it'll be my sole purpose to maintain a positive relationship with fellow UCI student organizations and, the Hmong Student Associations established at various schools all across California.

Hello all! I’m exhilarated for this upcoming school year and can’t wait for what the future beholds. First of all, cookies and cream ice cream is definitely my favorite ice cream. Secondly,  I chose this position because I like to meet and interact with other people through different activities. This position lets me create opportunities to allow for all our members to do just that. I will be organizing activities for all you scholars throughout the year. Let’s have some fun creating new memories.

Hello there! I am Teresa Moua (she/hers), and I will be serving as your HSA at UCI’s Public Relations for 2020-201. As PR, I use a variety of visual medias to communicate with our members and guests whilst overseeing our social media accounts and our website. For example, I have been creating the different posts on our stories to teach y’all about the Hmong culture and community. I am very excited to take on this position because I am able to use digital media to communicate and bring in more resources to our members. I hope to meet incoming members soon and see our returning members through our zoom meetings and events! Aside from my role as PR, I chose the ice cream flavor honey vanilla because of Honeymee’s Sweetie ice cream. I love the combo of vanilla ice cream with drizzles of honey. I highly recommend trying Honeymee’s soft-serve ice cream! Hope you all have a good day and stay safe

Hi all. I hope you all are well. My name is Marilyn, and I am the President of the Hmong Student Association for the academic year of 2020-2021. I am super excited to start this year with new and returning members. Despite being remote, I hope we will all still be able to find a community online with one another. If you all ever need any support, please feel free to reach out. One of HSA’s many goals is to provide resources and aid for Hmong students to achieve success in higher education. We want to support you in any way we can. I hope you all will have a great year this year with HSA and continue to be well and safe.

Hello! My name is Hope Vang, and my ice cream flavor is coffee because I don't drink coffee. However, I do enjoy the smell! I will be your HSA secretary for the 2020-2021 school year. As secretary, my duties include sending biweekly updates about any events and general meeting slides. I also am in charge of making slides for general meetings, too.

I love HSA with my whole heart, and I'm thankful to be in a board position where I can give back to the group that welcomed me in. Whether some of us are in Irvine or back in our hometowns, I hope everyone feels welcomed and included this year. Always feel free to contact me!

Hello! My name is Delon Ly, and I will be your HSO Chair for the 2020-2021 school year! I chose mint for my ice cream flavor because I love minty things but in all honesty, all ice cream is super good. I joined board as HSO Chair because I had such an amazing time as an HSO Intern and I was truly inspired by the whole event. I learned so much from the event and seeing all the students grow was just amazing. As HSO Chair I will be hosting a student outreach program along with all my colleagues and volunteers from around the area. Our goal will be to introduce higher education to students from all around and hopefully inspire them to further their education! Although things may be different this year due to Covid-19, we will try our best to make things as best as we can and to continue to make HSA UCI a home away from home. I am extremely excited about the upcoming year and can’t wait for all the amazing activities and events planned!
